Why does this matter?

While suicide rates had been going down, an apparent change happened in the 2000’s and since then, suicide rates have been steadily increasing. Therefore, we need to understand why more and more people are dealing with suicide even with advancements in mental health education and treatment. To do this, we will be analyzing demographics of the U.S. in terms of anxiety and depression indicators, suicide rates, and mental health treatments to uncover the reasons for decreasing mental health across the U.S.
